HP and Palm are notorious for over-promising and under-delivering, and I’m sure all the personnel changes over at HP haven’t help the matter any. HP has suggested and promised a lot of things, mostly prior to the hardware cancellations. There are a lot of little tiny things, though, that get under…
This makes me sick

$99 for a TouchPad. Meanwhile I paid $499 - full retail price - for mine so I could continue Spaz HD and vorlauf development (both free, open-source apps so I’m not making a dime) without waiting for developer pricing to be announced. Now it’s too late for me to even return my TouchPad to purchase one at the fire sale rate.
I have owned both a Pre and a TouchPad since the day they were launched. I have no upgrade path from my Pre and I paid 5x what others will end up paying for my TouchPad. I deserve better than this. So do many people in the same situation as me.
Shameful.
@hp, when can I expect my $400 refund check?
Dear HP,
I love developing for webOS. It’s quick, it’s intuitive, and it’s great for web devs to get into. The big reason this is is because of the Enyo JavaScript framework used to develop webOS apps. It’s a fantastic framework and is easy to learn.
I’ve written a great, unique app for the…

I started this rant on Twitter, but I want to expand on some ideas here. I started this off with:
Companies only producing mobile apps for a single platform to promote a product is the modern version of “Best Viewed in Internet Explorer”
To clarify, I’m talking about apps that are basically…

All I Want In A webOS Twitter Client
I have tried pretty much all of the webOS Twitter clients out there, but I haven’t found the perfect one for me yet. I keep looking though! Here’s my list of what features a mythical super-client will take from existing ones:
• Bad Kitty: multiple accounts, just type to tweet, reply/reply all
• Carbon: not sure yet, check back in a week or so :-)
• phnx: just type to tweet, multi-panel UI
• Spaz: multiple acounts, open source
• Tweed: timeline marker, notifications
• TweetJar: timeline look and feel, pull to refresh, retweet display
• TweetMe: drafts
What did I miss?
Now how hard could it be to combine all these into one Twitter client to rule them all? Just kidding, I know it’s hard, and these are my preferences, which not everybody will agree with. I can dream, though…
